Cypress has grown so much in our seven sessions of Music Together^®. She started as a little one crawling around with an occasional "connect" to the music, to then being a toddler who listened and watched but did not participate. Then suddenly she began singing and doing the actions at home, but still not at class.  And finally, she sings, she dances, she plays instruments, she raises her hand and gives ideas. And at home she pretends to be Sarah the teacher and sings to her dolls and stuffies.   What a beautiful progression through the stages of musical development!

 

As a former teacher, I love the developmental approach to helping children grow in their abilities. I see so many pre-reading techniques being used in class as well as opportunities to develop gross motor and fine motor skills. The songs are culturally diverse and include many genres of music. I highly recommend this beautiful approach to learning and music.
